In 1996, Randy became the President of another company specializing in investment properties. RJM Investments became the parent company of RJM Construction, and the companies continued to prosper. “We began buying single family homes, remodeling them, and putting them back on the market for resale.” Randy attributes their success to smart building practices, cost efficiency and strong buying power for their materials.
“We don’t just fix up the houses we buy but we modernize them in a way that today’s families really want to live in them.” And, Randy adds that all homes he remodels include a warranty for one year after the sale. “I want people who buy a house from us to be confident they received a home worth what they paid for it."
Randy returned to the classroom in 2001 to earn his Real Estate Agent/Broker License and launched another division of RJM Investments: Lighthouse Realty. “I wanted to help my customers control the commission fees and other expenses in home buying and selling,” he explains, “plus, I can answer questions and help on both sides of the transaction if that’s what needed.” Lighthouse Realty quickly became a Million-Dollar producing agent in the St. Louis/St. Charles areas.
RJM Investments also spreads to development of both land and building projects. “We’ve owned some great raw land and built custom houses on it in the past,” Randy describes, “and we are currently building some deluxe apartments out in the Troy, MO area.” RJM Development is also interested in shopping centers and medical/office building opportunities. “We are just the right size company to make the most out of many different possibilities.”
